This was my first exposure to designing with Figma
as part of the FigBuild 2026 Designathon, where teams
were tasked with designing a speculative tool to track
an aspect of the human experience previously
unmeasurable.
With only one other team member, who was likewise a
novice, the design process over a weekend-long
competition was full of challenges and learning
opportunities. We ultimately came up with Myo, a
wearable fitness tracker which can actually sense the
level of fatigue of its user's muscles, converting data
into useful insights and advice.
This project served mostly as an introduction to Figma's
full capabilities, including using Figma Make to add real
functionality to our rough prototypes. The visual design
itself is far from my current standard, but for a first
experience, I am still proud of the end product.
